Welcome to VERA
VERA is your secure digital identity and trust platform — built for individuals and businesses who need to verify who they're dealing with before they deal.
What VERA does
Every business relationship starts with a question: who am I actually talking to? Phone numbers get spoofed. Emails get faked. Documents get forged. VERA solves this at the foundation.
When you connect with someone on VERA, you know:
- They are who they say they are. Every VERA user goes through verified identity or KYC/KYB checks. Credentials issued to their wallet are cryptographically signed and can't be transferred.
- Your conversation is private. Channels between you and your contacts are end-to-end encrypted. VERA can't read them, and neither can anyone else.
- Your documents are yours. Files stored in VERA live in your encrypted vault, not on a server somewhere someone else controls.
This guide will walk you through everything — from signing up to having your first verified conversation.
How VERA works
Verify your identity (for individuals) or your business (for organisations). This issues verifiable credentials to your wallet — the proof that you are who you say you are.
Connect with the businesses and individuals you deal with. You invite them to VERA (or they invite you). Once connected, you have a permanent, verified relationship.
Transact securely. Share your credentials, exchange documents, or simply send messages knowing the person on the other end has been verified.
Monitor everything through your vault. See which credentials you've shared, who you've connected with, and what's been exchanged.
Audit your trust history. Every verification request, credential share, and connection change is logged with a timestamp and cryptographic proof — a permanent, tamper-evident record of how trust was established.
Who this guide is for
This guide covers VERA for:
- Individuals setting up a personal workspace for identity verification and document sharing
- Organisation administrators setting up an organisation workspace, inviting team members, and managing business credentials
- New users who just received an invitation and want to understand what they're signing up for
Where to start
If you're brand new, start with Create your account — the whole signup process takes about two minutes. You'll create one account and then choose your first workspace (personal or organisation).
If you were invited by someone, head to Accept an invitation — it'll walk you through the process from the email you received.
If you're setting up VERA for your business, go to Set up your organisation after completing signup.
